GODSU Dean of Students & Security Vice Provost H.E. Dean Dr. Matthew Fogg, Chaplain

Dr. Matthew Fogg is the top security expert on the major news networks such as CNN and MSNBC. His responsibilities have covered the United Nations, Heads of States and Celebrities. Dean Fogg was the famous featured first responder for 911 on the cover of U.S. News Magazine.

As deputy U.S. marshal, Fogg proved in court that he and other black officers had endured harassment, been passed over for promotions and received less desirable assignments tied to their duties of tracking and apprehending fugitives.

All of it amounted to racial discrimination, a federal jury in Washington found in 1998. What followed were years of appeals, complaints and, for Fogg, a continual run on the cable news and speaking circuit denouncing structural racism and pushing criminal-justice reform. The historic lawsuit in his favor was the 1st judgment against the Department of Justice in US judicial history.

Now, the retired law enforcement officer turned community activist is determined to take his experience to Capitol Hill.

He is one of six Democrats vying for the party nomination to replace outgoing Rep. Donna F. Edwards (D) in Maryland’s 4th Congressional District.

Fogg, who obtained his bachelor’s degree from Marshall University in West Virginia, has received an Honorary doctorate from two institutions of Higher a Learning. He serves as the Dean of Security & Students at Global OVED Dei Seminary & University.
