AMBASSADOR H.E. DR. BARFUOUR ADJEI BARWUAH


The ambassador to the United States from Ghana, Barfuor Adjei-Barwuah, who previously served as Ghana’s ambassador to Japan, Australia, and three other countries, presented his credentials to President Donald Trump on July 21, 2017, succeeding Joseph Henry Smith, who represented Ghana in Washington since September 2014. Born December 15, 1942, in Kumasi, Ghana (then a British colony), Barfuor Adjei-Barwuah graduated Prempeh College in 1962. He went on to earn a B.A. in Geography at the University of Ghana – Legon in 1965, an M.S. in Geography at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee in 1968, and a PhD in Geography at Indiana University in 1972, with a dissertation entitled, “Socio-economic regions in the Louisville ghetto.” He also co-authored “Some comparative aspects of the West African Zongo and the Black American Ghetto.” A member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), which is Ghana’s center-right party, Adjei-Barwuah returned to Ghana in 2001, not long after his party’s candidate for the presidency, John Kufuor, won the December 2000 presidential election. Kufuor soon appointed Adjei-Barwuah to a plum diplomatic post—ambassador to Japan, with concurrent accreditation to Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, and Singapore. Adjei-Barwuah served seven years in the post before becoming Ambassador to the United States from Ghana. Barfuor Adjei-Barwuah and his wife, Dinah Barfuor-Barwuah, have four children.


King Nana Obokese Ampah of Ghana


Nana Obokese Ampah is the Apagyehen of Asebu Traditional area of Central Region, Ghana. He is the Chief Executive Officer for a Year of Return Legacy Project, The Asebu Pan African Village Project. He is also the board chairman of the African Union Art Festival Foundation.

Nana Obokese Ampah is known in private life as Kojo Ampah Sahara and is Fordham University, New York- United States of America trained communications expert. He is a serial entrepreneur with interests in Agro and Food processing business, Entertainment, Hospitality and Tourism, Media/ Public Relations amongst others, the Cape Coast Development Company, national planning committee member of the Pan African Historical Theater Festival (PANAFEST) and AU Arts Festival Foundation. He serve as the Ambassador and High Commissioner of the Universal Negro Improvement Association and African Communities League for Ghana.


King Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi Ojaja II of Nigeria


Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, is a Nigerian monarch. He is the traditional ruler, or Ooni, of the Yoruba kingdom of Ile-Ife. He has held his title since 2015. Adeyeye Ogunwusi started his elementary education at Subuola Memorial Nursery and Primary School, Ibadan and Ibadan District Council, Akobo, Ibadan. He then proceeded to the prestigious Loyola College, Ibadan and later to St. Peters Secondary School, Ile-Ife, where he received his secondary school certificate (SSCE). He graduated as an accountant from The Polytechnic, Ibadan.

Ooni Adeyeye Ogunwusi is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria. He is also an Associate Accounting Technician. Oba Ogunwusi is a certified member of the Institute of Directors. He is also a member of the Global Real Estate Institute. He holds a number of honorary doctorate degrees: one in Public Administration from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka and another in Law from Igbinedion University. Additionally, Oba Ogunwusi is the Chancellor at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.

Ooni Adeyeye Ogunwusi was selected from amongst several well to do indigenes of Ile-Ife who were also heirs to the throne on 26 October 2015. He received his staff of office on 7 December 2015. He has been described as an ‘astute entrepreneur driven by the need to turn impossibilities into possibilities. Oba Ogunwusi is the spiritual leader of the Yoruba people now saddled with the responsibility of making supplications to God and the Òrìṣà on behalf of his tribe and the world at large during annual festivals such as Olojo.


Princess Asie Naa Ocansey


Naa (Princess) Asie Ocansey is a member of the Ocansey Royal Family of Ada, Ghana.

She is a Woman of God, a Professional Engineer, a Philanthropist, a businesswoman, a songwriter, a mother for the motherless, a voice for the voiceless, a migration expert and radio show hostess. Naa co-founded the rural Nekotech Center of Excellence in her hometown-Ada, with the late USA mega entertainer, Mr. Isaac Hayes and co-founded the White House and Buckingham Palace recognized Save a Million Lives from HIV/AIDS Project with the African American National Medical Association and Student National Medical Association.

Having been educated at the prestigious Wesley Girls High School in Ghana and Rutgers University’s College of Engineering in the USA, Naa gained valuable working experience in the USA, working in Professional Engineering and Consulting positions with Fortune 500 USA companies, such as Pepsico and Johnson & Johnson, while working on UNDP and UNEP/ICT Consulting international assignments. Naa’s work has been recognized and acclaimed by many awards particularly for her impactful work in HIV/AIDS and Migration. Naa is clearly devoted to fighting for the voiceless and faceless poor by mobilizing global support to help them break generational cycles of poverty, illiteracy and disease. She has been featured on several radio and TV shows in Ghana and overseas – such as CNN, BBC, ABC News Fox TV, CBS, Ghana’s GTV, TV3, TV Africa and Metro TV, as well as on TV’s in Canada for her humanitarian visits to sick children in BC and Alberta hospitals. She strives to live her life by reflecting Christ through 1 Cor 16 v 14 which asks us to …..”Do Everything in Love.” Princess Ocansey is a devoted mother to her daughter, Fumi Serwa and several adopted sons and daughters.


Dr. Michael V. Roberts


H.E. Dr. Michael V. Roberts, Chairman and CEO of the Roberts Companies, is the classic American entrepreneur. Born to middle class hard working parents and educated in the St. Louis public school system, he worked his way through college and law school to become one of St. Louis’ leading businessmen. Throughout his rise in business, Mr. Roberts maintained a strong commitment to the African-American community from which he came. Locating his headquarters in the heart of this community, his endeavors over the last forty years have created thousands of jobs and entrepreneurial opportunities, raised the level of economic activity, raised the level of economic activity, and enhanced the quality of life for the African-American community. Mr. Roberts is a nationally renowned speaker and has served as  a guest speaker for the Harvard Business School Conference on Cooperative Economics and the Morehouse College Executive Lecture Series, among many others. Mr. Roberts is the author of Action Has No Season, Secrets and Strategies to Gaining Wealth and Authority. Book reviews have characterized his work as, “a must read for leaders and entrepreneurs,” “his book proves that Mike Roberts is a capitalist for his time…part existentialist, part-capitalist, he is building a legacy for his family and all aspiring African-Americans who want to participate in the American Dream.”


Dr. Randal Pinkett


Dr. Randal Pinkett has established himself as an entrepreneur, speaker, author, scholar and community servant, and one of the leading voices for his generation in business and technology. He is the co-founder, chairman and CEO of BCT Partners, a multimillion-dollar research, consulting, training, technology and analytics firm based in Newark, New Jersey. BCT Partners mission is to provide insights about diverse people that lead to equity. BCT works with corporations, government agencies and nonprofit organizations in the areas of housing and community development, economic development, children and families, health, education, diversity and inclusion, and energy. A partial list of BCT’s clients includes: Johnson & Johnson, Ford Foundation, Pfizer, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Annie E. Casey Foundation, Citigroup, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Hewlett-Packard, U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Facebook and Microsoft.

Dr. Pinkett holds five academic degrees including the following: Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Electrical Engineering from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ, that he completed with a 3.9 GPA while serving as President of MEET, the Rutgers Chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) and Captain of the Rutgers University Varsity Men’s Track and Field team competing as a high jumper and long jumper; Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Computer Science from Oxford University, England as a Rhodes Scholar; Master of Science (S.M.) in Electrical Engineering from the MIT School of Engineering and Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the MIT Sloan School of Management as a participant in the MIT Leaders for Global Operations (LGO) Program; and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from the MIT Media Laboratory. Most notably, Dr. Pinkett made history as the first African-American ever to receive a Rhodes Scholarship at Rutgers University.


Chancellor Dr. Diane Moore-Eubanks


The Right Hon. H.E. Rev. Dr. Atty. Diane Moore-Eubanks is the Founder, Visionary, & Chancellor of Global Oved Dei Seminary & University (GODSU) and its seven pillars. As Chancellor, Dr. Diane provides leadership, teaching and strategic direction to further GODSU’s global interfaith and entrepreneurial missions. After graduating in 1986 as both a Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa recipient from Florida State University, she completed her Juris Doctorate degree from Georgetown Law School, interned at BET as well as served as Assistant General Counsel, Dept of Navy, reporting to both the Pentagon & White House. In private law practice she conducted over 3,600 residential & commercial real estate transactions in 3 states. Since 2009 Dr. Diane has helped 10,000+ Nigerian & Ghanaian women start small businesses. In 2016 she was ordained as a Christian Pastoral Minister under Bishop Christopher Cox, Member of the Joint College of African American Pentecostal Bishops. In October 2019, she sponsored and co-hosted the 1st African Economic Panel at Florida International Trade and Cultural Expo with Broward County Mayor Hon. Dale Holness. She currently serves as the Director of Education for the UN NGO, NFFI—JA. In 2020 and is a 2020 Fellowship Recipient of the Jim Moran Non-Profit Executive Program. For over 20+ years she has been licensed in multiple States as a financial service advisor, now serving as a Senior Vice President with InVida Financial Network.
